GREEN STAY IN STYLE AT NOVOTEL SAIGON CENTRE

Starting from the beginning of 2024, Novotel Saigon Centre warmly welcomes guests with green initiatives aimed at innovation and reducing single-use plastic waste, promoting environmental protection in accordance with the internationally recognized Green Key certification standards.

1. Our Heartists actively participate in internal training activities and field trips to enhance their knowledge of sustainable development and environmental protection. The hotel management team continuously encourages innovative ideas and initiatives regarding environmental conservation that can be practically applied within the hotel. Communication materials promoting the use of portion control, waste reduction, water conservation… are printed and prominently displayed in staff areas and the canteen to ensure high visibility and awareness.

2. From this year, Novotel Saigon Centre has converted to using glass water bottles to replace plastic bottles, a green action that contributes to spreading the positive “green stay” message of reusing natural resources and reducing single-use plastic in guest room to the community, joining hands to preserve the common living environment – the Earth.

3. Wooden hotel keycards are replaced with plastic cards while still ensuring functionality and accuracy, which is one of the small actions that contribute to spreading positive messages to the living environment and bringing a stylish green vacation.

4. As part of our sustainability initiatives to minimize waste, certain single-plastic used amenities are available upon request. Amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided in large bottles instead of single-use individual bottles, following a more sustainable approach.

5. The use of cage-free eggs is one of the sustainable ingredient initiatives that Novotel Saigon Centre applies to A-la-carte dishes at the Food Exchange restaurant. Through the use of microbiological technology and the recycling process of Green Connect, the 3 Moc Farm has helped organic waste be revived with a new life cycle. Food waste is classified and processed into high-quality, nutritious feed for livestock farming. Chickens and ducks are raised cage-free by using vinegar fly larvae, allowing them to move freely and lay eggs according to their natural instincts.

6. In our restaurants and bars, communication materials are displayed to encourage guests to order responsibly and avoid food waste by opting for appropriate portion sizes.

7. The hotel encourages guests to use public transportation or Green E-Taxi – SM Xanh for transportation within the city center, aiming to reduce fuel emissions.
